Travel is about learning all kinds of new things. The main thing this trip seems to be teaching me is patience.

Patience with the people who say one thing and do another, patience with flights that don't board or take off when they're supposed to, patience with myself when it hits me that I'm not as fit as I was once upon a time.

One of the more pleasurable ways of learning patience is when waiting for a cup of delicious Vietnamese coffee with milk (condensed milk which is known as 'dense' milk here). The one I had this afternoon took a whole chapter of Alan Bennet to drip through.



Was worth it though... delicious!
